The City of Saginaw owns and operates three cemeteries, the largest being Forest Lawn, which encompasses 200 acres. Located at 3210 S. Washington Avenue, Forest Lawn was established in 1881and its landmark chapel was built of Bay Port stone in 1900 to1901.

The cemetery is divided into sections that offer plots for individuals as well as for families. One section is dedicated for US veterans. The City of Saginaw provides flags for Veterans organizations to distribute on Memorial Day.
